In connection with MexiCali Biennial, the PARA/normal Borders Conversation Series of three public events brings together MacArthur Fellows whose work expands our understanding of borders across literature, film visual art, music and critical scholarship. This third and final event features MacArthur Fellows Cristina Rivera Garza (2020) and Fred Moten (2020) each reading from their work and engaging in a conversation about translation, poetry, and collective study to examine how literature moves across linguistic, cultural, and institutional boundaries. Together, they explore how literary practice can confront history, imagine new futures, and expand the possibilities of shared knowledge.
