The Agora Policy Advisory (APA) is a Nigerian nonprofit and policy think tank committed to improving public policy by promoting an evidence-led and participatory approach to policymaking. It conducts research, policy dialogues, and training and provides technical assistance to policymakers and practitioners to inform policy decisions and strengthen the participation of non-state actors. The previous award to APA strengthened evidence-based policymaking for accountability by producing five extensive, evidence-informed, solution-oriented policy reports on gender equity and social inclusion, transparency and accountability, economic growth, national security, and climate change. With this final award, Agora promotes dialogue, fosters collaboration, and conducts in-depth policy analysis on critical governance and socio-economic issues that resonate with citizens; facilitates information sharing and learning among former government officials and new public office holders based on evidence and lived experiences; and promotes gender equity through an inclusive approach to policymaking, implementation, and outcomes. APA partners with On Nigeria grantees to implement the project. This award contributes to On Nigeria's strategy to institutionalize accountability reform long after On Nigeria ends.

The Agora Policy Advisory (APA) is a Nigerian nonprofit and policy think tank committed to improving public policy by promoting an evidence-led and participatory approach to policymaking. It conducts research, policy dialogues, training, and technical assistance to inform policy decisions and strengthen the participation of non-state actors. This award reinforces accountability and anti-corruption in Nigeria through policy analysis, policy engagement, and technical assistance to legislative aides, policy advisors, and civil society groups engaged in policy advocacy. APA uses the context of the 2023 elections to deepen dialogue and foster consensus around Nigeria's critical governance and socio-economic challenges. It conducts a series of in-depth policy analyses; events, such as forums for key stakeholders, roundtables, town hall meetings, and social media engagement, to generate new thinking to accelerate the implementation of critical transparency, accountability, and participation policies and programs. APA coordinates with other Foundation grantees to implement the grant. The award is expected to contribute to On Nigeria's goal of reducing corruption and strengthening accountability, transparency, and participation.
