Founded in 2014, Enrich Chicago is a collaboration among arts organizations and foundations to promote racial equity in Chicago’s arts and culture sector. A cohort of participating nonprofit organizations and philanthropic institutions participates in partner meetings, anti-racism trainings, and racial equity-related programming. With this award, Enrich Chicago conducts a second iteration of its funding equity survey.

This award supports a research project that engages artists, arts organizations, and advocates in creating a vision and plan towards a more equitable, anti-racist arts sector and affirms the central role of arts in society.

Enrich Chicago is a collective of Chicago-based nonprofit and philanthropic organizations working to advance racial equity in the arts. With this award, Enrich Chicago hosts a public convening to mark its fifth anniversary year featuring artistic performances, temporary installations, and a panel discussion. In addition, with this award, Enrich Chicago travels to Denver, Colorado to participate in a conference session at the national Grantmakers in the Arts conference.
Enrich Chicago (Enrich) is a cross-cultural sector initiative that promotes greater racial and cultural equity in the arts in Chicago. A cohort of arts and philanthropic organizations participate in Enrich’s bi-monthly partner meetings, workshops related to dismantling racism, and other equity related programming. This award provides general operating support as Enrich builds its infrastructure, provides ongoing workshops and other educational opportunities, and creates its strategic plan.
